About the event
John Coghlan was the power behind Status Quo's most respected period. Drummer Coghlan joined Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in their newly minted group, The Spectres. After a few name changes they settled on Status Quo and the arrival of Rick Parfitt cemented their "classic" line-up. The band went on the conquer the world and provided some of the '70s biggest anthems in the shape of 'Paper Plane', 'Roll Over Lay Down', 'Rock N' Roll', 'Dear John', 'Living On An Island', 'Down Down', 'Caroline' and many, many more. Backed by a stellar band John will be recreating that classic Quo sound from his original tenure (1962-1981) for a night that MetalTalk.net described as: "A night of beer-raising, feelgood factor Status Quo classics".
